APPS STUDENT AND EARLY-CAREER RESEARCHER CONFERENCE BURSARY SCHEME

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANT

The Australasian Plant Pathology Society (APPS) will provide bursaries for students and early career researchers to attend either an APPS biennial conference or an APPS special interest group meeting during the non-biennial conference year. ECRs must have been awarded a PhD within five years, or longer if combined with periods of significant career interruption. Applicants without PhD qualifications but with up to 10 years’ experience in the plant pathology industry are also considered as ECRs.

APPS2025 is delighted to offer bursaries for delegate attendance supported by The Atlas of Living Australia. This scheme is for students and early career researchers (10 years post PhD, not including career gaps).

  • Four available - $1,250 per applicant

  • Open to Australian residents only

  • Applications available during registration

  • Applications close 9 March 2025

  • One available - $1,500 per applicant

  • Open to Australian and New Zealand residents

  • Must be presenting on a topic in the field of mycology

  • Applications available during registration

  • Applications close 9 March 2025
